All lit up at Ruthin

The UK first log fired sauna tent has been lit at Ruthin Castle, North Wales. This new sauna experience has been sourced from a trip to our Scandinavian brothers (and sisters), home to the true sauna experts.

The tent is derived from the army, and embracing the sauna ritual wanted some ‘home comforts’ when living out in the arctic.

This is the real experience and is in essence how sauna’s originated and were meant to be used – outside braving the elements with kindred spirits. At Ruthin Castle, home to the Moat Spa, they will be introducing a generous sized fire pit for rustling up essential sustenance, and throwing in beers and wine to boot for comfort and relaxation. Think we’re taking the week off!
