Project Brief

One of the key elements to this concept was the initial feasibility study. It became clear from the outset that this could not be a standard four star hotel spa; it had to be different! The conclusion reached was to create something that was quintessentially English, incorporated a sense of up-cycling, would be timeless and most of all fun. After cracking the brand concept for the unused garage building we were able to tackle the space plan and the customer journey.

Attention to detail was paramount. From concept through to treatments, in order to stand above the spa parapet, we needed to be brave throughout and not just in the construction and design. This all-encompassing theme started with the spa name and followed through to the log fired shepherd hut sauna, cedar hot tubs, steam and salt rooms and also included its ecommerce website and own signature treatments and product ranges. Tapping into private label service offered by the the Garage brand was brought to life via their products and with items such as Unleaded Shampoo, Pit Stop Wash and Wheelie Good Cleanser.
